Yes, always. The companion app shows a permanent “monitored by” banner, a transparency screen that explains what is shared, and the consent record. There is no hidden or stealth mode, and we will not build one.
Video and content titles, the platform, when it was watched and for how long, plus search terms where the platform exposes them. On Android it also counts the minutes each app was in the foreground. Location is shared only when you record a location consent — one position about every 15 minutes, never live tracking. Kidslen does not record the screen or read messages.
YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. The child connects their own accounts inside the companion app.
The companion app is coming to iOS and Android. The parent dashboard runs in any modern browser. Join the waitlist and we will let you know when the apps are ready.
From the dashboard you set a daily screen-time limit, a bedtime window, keywords to watch for, and which platforms are allowed. When a rule is triggered you get an instant alert, and the child sees the same rule on their transparency screen.
Activity is retained for a limited period by default and then removed automatically. You can shorten the window, export everything or delete the whole family at any time.
In data centers chosen for the region you sign up from, encrypted in transit and at rest. Only infrastructure providers bound by a data-processing agreement can touch it. We never sell family data, show ads or share it with advertisers.
Kidslen is free during early access. A paid Family plan is planned for later; pricing will be announced before launch and early-access families will hear first.
